Notes
'Volga' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Volga') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The huge double flowers are deep pink. William Henry Krekler bred it, and the blooms make a bold show in the garden or in a vase.
Pairs well with Hosta, Cinnamon fern, Queen of Night tulip, and Garlic chives.
