Notes

'Waterlily' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Waterlily') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The waxy white flowers have a double row of petals and a yellow center of stamens with red carpel tips. They smell spicy and sweet, and they last well when cut. Strong stems hold the blooms up in midseason.

Pairs well with Incrediball hydrangea, Cinnamon fern, Garlic chives, and Love-in-a-mist.
