Notes

'Lanarth White' bigleaf hydrangea (Hydrangea macrophylla 'Lanarth White') is a shrub for borders, cottage gardens, containers, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full sun to full shade and average to wet, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Its white lacecap blooms have a ring of sterile florets around a lacy green center that can be highlighted with blue or pink. Deer tend to browse other plants first. It blooms on old and new wood, and bees visit the flowers.

Pairs well with Patriot hosta, Japanese forest grass, and Green Velvet buxus.
