Notes

'Whip It Good' American arborvitae (Thuja occidentalis 'Whip It Good') is a shrub for hedges, privacy screens, specimen planting, and foundation beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, loamy or clay soil. It grows slowly into a dense, fragrant evergreen that birds visit. Deer tend to pass it by. Its evergreen foliage also gives the garden winter interest.

Pairs well with Berry Poppins winterberry, Prairie dropseed, and Cheerfulness daffodil.
