Notes

'Whit X' lagerstroemia (Lagerstroemia indica 'Whit X') is a shrub for specimen planting, hedges, privacy screens, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to wet, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Flowers open from early to late summer and attract butterflies and bees. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal. It grows rapidly into a dense shrub and tolerates drought.

Pairs well with Dense blazing star, Little bluestem, and Evening primrose.
