Notes

Crape myrtle (Lagerstroemia indica) is a shrub for specimen, hedge, and accent use. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Deer tend to browse other plants first. It grows fast into a dense shape and tolerates drought. Blooms open from early to late summer and again in early autumn.

Pairs well with Butterfly bush, May Night salvia, and Garden mum.
