Notes

'Tuscarora' lagerstroemia (Lagerstroemia indica 'Tuscarora') is a shrub for specimen planting, hedges, privacy screens, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to wet, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Pinkish coral blooms open from early to late summer and again in early autumn, and butterflies and bees visit them. Deer tend to pass it by. It grows fast into a dense form and is drought tolerant.

Pairs well with Rose of sharon, Big bluestem, and Wide Brim hosta.
