Notes
'White Crane' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'White Crane') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The white and yellow blooms have a Japanese form and a medium size. Tall, slender, stiff stems carry them gracefully. Edward Auten, Jr bred it.
Pairs well with Prairie dropseed, Christmas fern, Little Beauty tulip, and Dalmatian bellflower.
