Notes

'White Heron' peony (Paeonia 'White Heron') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. Cream flowers with violet flares open in early to late spring and attract butterflies. Derek Irvine bred it.

Pairs well with Elegans hosta, Weigela, Greig's tulip, and Big bluestem.
