Notes

'William Pickett' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'William Pickett') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The medium-size blooms open creamy white and double in late spring. As they age, they become ball type. Robert William Tischler bred it in 1967.

Pairs well with Ice plant, Prairie dropseed, and Phantom panicle hydrangea.
