Notes

Anemone (Anemone lesseri) is a perennial with finely cut, rough-textured leaves. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun to part shade and average moisture. Fragrant pink flowers with yellow stamens open in early spring and are good for early season bees. Deer tend to pass it by. Attractive seed heads follow the flowers.

Pairs well with Siebold's hosta, Autumn fern, and Little brown jug.
