Notes

'Wonderous Event' peony (Paeonia 'Wonderous Event') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Single garnet red blooms are fragrant and attract bees and butterflies. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. The upright plant stays about 26 inches tall and needs no support.

Pairs well with Clustered bellflower, Dancing Queen hosta, and Standing Ovation little bluestem.
