Notes
'Wonderous Secret' peony (Paeonia 'Wonderous Secret') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average moisture. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. The blush flowers have lavender undertones and rosy flares, and they are strongly fragrant. Swenson Gardens bred it, and it stands upright without support.
Pairs well with Stained Glass hosta, Nodding onion, Limelight hydrangea, and Standing Ovation little bluestem.
