Notes

'Worplesdon' sweet gum (Liquidambar styraciflua 'Worplesdon') is a tree for borders and low maintenance landscapes. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to wet, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It grows fast into a pyramidal shape, and bees and birds visit it. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits. Give it plenty of room to reach its full size.

Pairs well with Shumard oak, Serviceberry, and Big bluestem.
