Notes

'Wow' peony (Paeonia 'Wow') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Fragrant wine-red single flowers open in late April and attract butterflies and bees. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. William Henry Krekler bred it.

Pairs well with Liberty hosta, Annabelle hydrangea, and Indian grass.
