Notes
'WP Passion' carnation (Dianthus 'WP Passion') is a perennial for borders, containers, cottage gardens, and rock gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to average, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Deep red double flowers are fragrant and open in spring and again in summer. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. Butterflies and bees visit the blooms.
Pairs well with Blue fescue, Coral Charm peony, and Ornamental onion.
