Notes

Wych elm (Ulmus glabra) is a tree for shade, lawn specimens, and large landscapes. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun, average moisture, and sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It grows at a moderate rate into a broad tree. Reddish-green flowers open from early to late spring. It tolerates drought once established, so it can handle dry spells.

Pairs well with Red pine, Cherry, and Royal fern.
