Notes

'Yamo-okina' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Yamo-okina') is a shrub for borders, cut flower gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. A Japanese breeder developed it. Cut the blooms to bring them indoors, or leave them on the shrub to enjoy in the garden.

Pairs well with Toad lily, Little Lime panicle hydrangea, and Switchgrass.
