Notes
'Yellow Bird' peony (Paeonia 'Yellow Bird') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Light yellow, fragrant, semi-double blooms open in spring and reach 6 to 7 inches wide. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. Robert bred it, and it needs no support.
Pairs well with Royal Standard hosta, Charles Joly lilac, and Black Hero tulip.
