Notes

'Yellow Caucasian' peony (Paeonia 'Yellow Caucasian') is a perennial for borders, cottage gardens, specimen planting, and cut flower use. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It blooms early with single, cupped, pale yellow flowers that have pinkish flares. Bees and butterflies visit the fragrant blooms. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal.

Pairs well with Sum and Substance hosta, Dense blazing star, Carlton daffodil, and Standing Ovation little bluestem.
