Notes
'York and Lancaster' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'York and Lancaster') is a perennial for borders, perennial beds, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The single blooms are red and white, like the rose of the same name. Deep green foliage grows upright and carries plenty of side buds. Kelway bred it.
Pairs well with Coralbells, Royal fern, and Spanish bluebell.
