Notes

'Yubae' bishop's hat (Epimedium 'Yubae') is a perennial for shade gardens, woodland gardens, and ground cover. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. Purple red flowers with white tipped spurs open in spring, and the plant grows 12 to 18 inches tall.

Pairs well with Lungwort, Aureola Japanese forest grass, Lady fern, and Solomon's seal.
