Notes

Yulan magnolia (Magnolia denudata) is a tree for borders, specimen planting, and winter interest. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It grows slowly into a dense shape. Fragrant white flowers open on bare branches, and butterflies and birds visit the plant.

Pairs well with Korean spice viburnum, Green Velvet buxus, Karl Foerster feather reed grass, and Snake's head.
