Notes
'Zed' peony (Paeonia 'Zed') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It is an early, low hybrid with big, showy, single red blooms. The flowers are fragrant and draw butterflies and bees. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal.
Pairs well with Abiqua Drinking Gourd hosta, Blonde Ambition blue grama, Black Parrot tulip, and PowWow White coneflower.
