Notes

'Zelda Gilbertson' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Zelda Gilbertson') is a perennial for borders, cut flower use, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Light pink double blooms open in late spring on strong stems that hold the heavy flowers well. The blooms keep well when cut. Ben Gilbertson bred it, and it first bloomed in 1976.

Pairs well with Ostrich fern, Sedge, and Blue sage.
