Notes
'Zifeng Shuyu' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Zifeng Shuyu') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It stays short at 21 to 23 inches and stands upright without support. The anemone-form blooms open in mid to late spring and have purplish red outer petals around a cream center. The flowers have a moderate fragrance.
Pairs well with Great blue lobelia, Ostrich fern, and Picture tulip.
