Notes
'Zlata’s Jennie' peony (Paeonia 'Zlata’s Jennie') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. The fragrant, ruffled, double blooms are yellow with mauve red edges and open in early to late spring. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits. The large blooms sit on weak stems, so you may want to give them support.
Pairs well with Paris coral bells, Jackmanii clematis, and Damask rose.
