Notes

'Zuni' lagerstroemia (Lagerstroemia indica 'Zuni') is a shrub for specimen plantings, hedges, privacy screens, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to wet, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal. Lavender flowers open from early to late summer and again in early autumn. Butterflies and bees visit the blooms, and the dense growth fills in fast.

Pairs well with Little bluestem, Blue wild indigo, and Blue star.
