Notes
'Acapulco Gold' iris (Iris 'Acapulco Gold') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and accents. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun and average to moist, sandy or loamy soil. It grows 24 to 36 inches tall and blooms in early to late spring and again in early to late summer. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. Butterflies visit the flowers, and the plant tolerates drought.
Pairs well with Iris, Columbine, Lupine, and Meadow rue.
