Notes

'Adorable' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Adorable') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Its large, loose, flat double blooms are pink and edge to silver around a collar of golden stamens. Some petals show a splash of red, and the inner petals are deeply cut and crinkled. Gilbert H. Wild and Son introduced it in 1962.

Pairs well with Compass plant, Japanese spirea, and Spanish bluebell.
