Notes

'Affluence' peony (Paeonia 'Affluence') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. The single flowers are buff to cream with dark red flares, and butterflies visit them. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. John W. and Dot M. McFarlane bred it, and it first bloomed in 1994.

Pairs well with Elegans hosta, Jeana garden phlox, Blue fescue, and Niobe clematis.
