Notes

'Alba' Texas redbud (Cercis canadensis 'Alba') is a tree for woodland gardens, specimen planting, borders, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist soil of most types. White flowers open in early to late spring and attract butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees. Deer rarely make it their first choice. The multi-stemmed form grows at a moderate pace.

Pairs well with Witch hazel, Cinnamon fern, Butterfly milkweed, and Big bluestem.
