Notes

'Lavender Twist' Texas redbud (Cercis canadensis 'Lavender Twist') is a tree for specimen planting, containers, winter interest, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist soil of most types. Pink to magenta flowers open along the branches in early spring, and you can eat them fresh or fried. Deer tend to pass it by. The seed pods feed songbirds.

Pairs well with Chocolate Ruffles coral bells, Karl Foerster feather reed grass, and Morning Light eulalia.
