Notes
'Albus' maiden pink (Dianthus deltoides 'Albus') is a perennial for borders, rock gardens, cottage gardens, and ground cover. It is hardy to USDA zone 2, or down to -50°F (-46°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to average, sandy or loamy soil. Fragrant white flowers open in spring and again in summer, and butterflies visit them. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. The evergreen clumps grow fast and spread 12 to 18 inches.
Pairs well with Candy Stripe moss phlox, Cerise Queen yarrow, and Red fescue.
