Notes

'Alida' grape hyacinth (Muscari 'Alida') is a bulb for borders, containers, rock gardens, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Violet-blue flowers open from early to late spring and attract butterflies and bees. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. Paul van Bentem Bloembollen B.V. bred it.

Pairs well with Greig's tulip, Blue fescue, and Kansas peony.
