Notes

'Aline' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Aline') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The semi-double flowers open carmine-red and are fragrant. Cut a few stems to bring the fragrance indoors for a vase. Michael Haworth-Booth bred it.

Pairs well with Autumn Frost hosta, Ostrich fern, Pink Impression tulip, and Polish Spirit clematis.
