Notes

'Altogether Lovely' peony (Paeonia 'Altogether Lovely') is a perennial for borders, cottage gardens, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Fragrant, double, light orange-pink flowers face upward and draw butterflies and bees. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits. New leaves emerge dark red, and the upright plant needs no support.

Pairs well with Royal Standard hosta, Spiked speedwell, Black Hero tulip, and Standing Ovation little bluestem.
