Notes
'Amaranth, Bicolor' amaranth (Amaranthus tricolor 'Amaranth, Bicolor') is an annual for borders and low maintenance gardens. Frost will kill it, so set it out only after the last frost in spring. This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. It shows an unusual color combination and has a mild flavor. Red and magenta blooms appear in early to late summer and again in early to late autumn. It is also drought tolerant.
Pairs well with Double Zahara Fire zinnia, Chinese mustard, and Red fescue.
