Notes

'Royal Purple' Japanese wisteria (Wisteria floribunda 'Royal Purple') is a vine for borders. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. It climbs fast and bears fragrant blooms in spring and again in summer, which draw butterflies. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal. Give it a strong support, since it grows tall.

Pairs well with Climbing hydrangea, Japanese maple, and Bluebell.
