Notes
'Blue Moon' American wisteria (Wisteria frutescens 'Blue Moon') is a vine for arbors, fences, and trellises. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and average moisture. Blue flowers open in early summer and have a sweet scent. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal. Give it a sturdy support, since it can reach 15 to 25 feet tall.
Pairs well with Ernest Markham clematis, William Baffin rose, and Cat's Pajamas nepeta.
