Notes

'Ann' pulmonaria (Pulmonaria rubra 'Ann') is a perennial for ground cover and naturalized areas. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes part to full shade and average moisture. It blooms in mid spring with red flowers edged in white and reaches 9 to 12 inches tall. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal. Plant it in drifts under trees for a low carpet of color.

Pairs well with Cutleaf toothwort, Deciduous azalea, and Climbing hydrangea.
