Notes

'Anna Marie' peony (Paeonia 'Anna Marie') is a shrub for borders, cottage gardens, specimen planting, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. Fragrant lavender flowers with darker burgundy flares open in early to late spring, one per stem. Butterflies visit the blooms. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first.

Pairs well with Elegans hosta, Jeana garden phlox, Blue fescue, and Korean spice viburnum.
