Notes

'Anna’s Image' peony (Paeonia 'Anna’s Image') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. The apricot flowers carry three buds per stem on strong stems, and butterflies visit them. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. John W. and Dot M. McFarlane bred it in 2001.

Pairs well with Korean spice viburnum, Elegans hosta, Blue fescue, and Jackmanii clematis.
