Notes

'Antwerpen' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Antwerpen') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The large, carmine-pink flowers have a yellow center and a Japanese flower form. They open in mid to late spring on erect, medium-sized plants.

Pairs well with Purrsian Blue nepeta, Black Hero tulip, Miss Kim lilac, and Tall fescue.
