Notes
'Apple Green' boxwood (Buxus microphylla 'Apple Green') is a shrub for hedges, borders, foundation plantings, and formal gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy or clay soil. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. It grows slowly into a dense evergreen mound that stays 12 to 24 inches tall and wide. Greenish-cream flowers open in spring and attract bees.
Pairs well with Hicksii yew, Autumn fern, Fountain grass, and Eden rose.
