Notes

'Arlesienne' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Arlesienne') is a shrub for borders, perennial beds, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The single flowers open in lilac rose that shades toward pink. You can cut the blooms to bring indoors, or leave them to brighten the border. Auguste Dessert bred it.

Pairs well with Wide Brim hosta, Sedge, and Flowering quince.
