Notes

'Aurea' sage (Salvia officinalis 'Aurea') is a perennial for borders, pollinator gardens, cottage gardens, and rock gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to average, sandy or loamy soil. It forms a fragrant mounding clump with lilac-blue flowers in late spring and again in early to late summer. Butterflies and bees visit the blooms. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice.

Pairs well with Fountain grass, Pink, Queen of Night tulip, and California poppy.
