Notes

'Tricolor' sage (Salvia officinalis 'Tricolor') is a perennial for borders, containers, cottage gardens, and rock gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to average, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. It forms a mounding, evergreen clump up to 18 inches tall. Its fragrant leaves stay on the plant all year, and lavender-blue flowers draw butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees.

Pairs well with Munstead lavender, Creeping thyme, and Karl Foerster feather reed grass.
