Notes

'Icterina' sage (Salvia officinalis 'Icterina') is a perennial for borders, containers, cottage gardens, and rock gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to average, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. It forms a mounding clump of fragrant evergreen leaves, and bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds visit the purplish blue flowers. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first.

Pairs well with Creeping thyme, Blue fescue, and Catnip.
