Notes
'Ceres' sage (Salvia officinalis 'Ceres') is an herb for borders, containers, rock gardens, and food gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. It forms a mounding, evergreen clump with fragrant leaves. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. Bees and butterflies visit it, and it tolerates drought.
Pairs well with Six Hills Giant nepeta, Helene Von Stein lamb’s ear, Amish Paste tomato, and Genovese basil.
